Flagship mirrorless cameras Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II received two Expeed 6 processors and rugged housings

Nikon today unveiled its flagship mirrorless cameras, the full-frame Z6 II and Z7 II, which will go on sale in November and December, respectively.

Nikon Z6

The Nikon Z6 II camera has a BSI-CMOS sensor (35.9 × 23.9 mm) with 25 million effective pixels. The sensitivity is ISO 100-51200, expandable to ISO 50-204800. You can take full-resolution photos at up to 14 frames per second. Supported video recording in 4K format (3840 × 2160 pixels) at 24, 25, or 30 frames per second.

The more advanced Nikon Z7 II features a CMOS sensor with 46 million effective pixels. The range of sensitivity is ISO 64–25600, expandable to ISO 32–102400. The sequential shooting speed is 10 frames per second, and the video is recorded in 4K format at up to 60 frames per second.

Both models have two Expeed 6 image processors, which should provide the highest processing speed of the resulting photos and videos, as well as their high quality. There are also two memory card slots that allow you to use a UHS-II SD card and an XQD card or super fast CFexpress card at the same time.

The equipment of the devices includes a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with a variable position, an electronic viewfinder with 100% frame coverage, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth wireless adapters.

New items are made in a case with protection from dust, dirt, and moisture. The Nikon Z mount is used, which guarantees uniform light hitting the entire sensor, including corners. These cameras can be fitted with NIKKOR Z lenses or any of over 300 NIKKOR F-mount lenses when used with the FTZ mount adapter.

The Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II will be priced around $ 2,000 and $ 3,000 without the included optics.
