Full replacement for hard drives: Phison introduced up to 15.36 TB
Phison has announced the SRE250 Series solid-state drives for enterprise-class hardware. Product deliveries have already begun.
The devices are made in a 2.5-inch form factor, and a standard SATA 3.0 interface with a bandwidth of up to 6 Gb / s is used for the connection. The case thickness is 7 mm.
The novelties are based on 3D QLC flash memory microchips. This technology provides for the storage of four bits of information in one cell. The SRE250 Series family includes four models – 1.92, 3.84, 7.68, and 15.36 TB capacities.
The declared speed of sequential reading of information reaches 530 MB / s, the speed of sequential writing is 220-270 MB / s. IOPS (input/output operations per second) is up to 90 thousand for random reading in 4 KB blocks and up to 10 thousand for random writing.
The operating temperature range extends from 0 to 70 degrees Celsius. The devices come with a five-year warranty.
Unfortunately, there is no information on the estimated price of new solid-state drives at the moment.
