Chargers with gallium nitride are gaining popularity
360, a China-based accessory manufacturer, has launched a low-cost 65W gallium nitride (GaN) charger that has supported a wide variety of fast charging standards.
The new 360 GaN charger is similar to the Meizu SuperCharged GaN charger, released with Meizu 17 smartphones. The gadget received three connector ports, including two USB-C (65 W, 30 W) and one USB-A (24 W), as well as a foldable plug
This charger is significantly smaller than standard adapters that use silicon. Its mass is 144 g, and the dimensions are 76 x 39 x 34 mm. It is 45% less than the Apple 61-watt charger and 40% less than other popular 65-watt chargers.
It supports USB Power Delivery (PD) 2.0 / 3.0, Qualcomm Quick Charger (QC) 2.0 / 3.0, Huawei SuperCharge Protocol (SCP), HiSilicon Fast Charging Protocol (FCP), Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging (AFC) and other fast charging standards.
