GeForce RTX 3000 and Radeon RX 6000 prices in the secondary market increased by 15% for the month

Data Engineer Michael Driscoll has released the latest sales statistics for AMD and NVIDIA Radeon RX 6000 and GeForce RTX 3000 series graphics accelerators at eBay. Due to resellers and miners, the prices of these video cards continue to rise every week.

According to the latest data, over the past month, the cost of proposals has grown on average by 10 to 35%. The rise in prices is partly due to the new customs duties, which took effect on January 1 in the United States. Simultaneously, the sharpest jump in prices is noticeable for models of a lower price segment.

If in the first week of January, the average cost of a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti model was about $ 690 (recommended $ 399), then last week, the video card cost an average of $ 920. Statistics were collected on the actual sales of 3000 graphics accelerators of this model by dealers, not just on the number of offers displayed on the site.

The average price for the GeForce RTX 3080 model ($ 699 RRP) jumped from $ 1,290 to $ 1,539 over the same period, based on 3400 actual sales.

Most resellers on eBay sold various variants of the GeForce RTX 3070 ($ 499 MSRP). The number of closed deals was 5,400. Simultaneously, the average price for these cards increased by 17% – from $ 804 in January to $ 940 in February.

Curiously, this model’s February cost is only $ 20 higher than that of the less productive GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. This is due to the rise in the Ethereum cryptocurrency value, which is mined using the GPU. Apparently, most of the purchases of both cards fell on the miners, and both models are capable of providing approximately the same level of performance when mining cryptocurrency – 60 Mhesh / s.

From January to February, resellers sold 2,291 GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards ($ 1,499 recommended price). Their price increased by 14% on average – from $ 2087 to $ 2379.

As for the flagship model Radeon RX 6900 XT from AMD, its average price over the past six weeks has increased by 8% – from $ 1,458 to $ 1,570. During the reporting period, resellers sold 334 video cards. Considering the lower cost compared to the NVIDIA flagship and about the same mining performance level, this model can also be viewed by miners as a necessary solution for Ethereum mining.

Prices for the Radeon RX 6800 XT rose 11% on average, from $ 1179 in January to $ 1312 in February. This novelty has become the most popular among the latest graphics accelerators, Radeon RX 6000. Dealers have sold 448 video cards of this model. The usual model Radeon RX 6800 is not far behind either. During the reported period, speculators have sold 434 such cards.

The average cost of video cards of this model increased by as much as 18% – from $ 865 in January to $ 1,018 in February, which again indicates the interest from miners.
