GIGABYTE Unveils AMD Ryzen 4000U Brix Mini PC: Up to Eight Cores in a 0.7L Case

GIGABYTE, as promised, has unveiled new Brix small form factor desktops based on the AMD Renoir hardware platform. Three models made their debut, enclosed in a case with a volume of only about 0.7 liters.

The family includes modifications GB-BRR7H-4700, GB-BRR5H-4500, and GB-BRR3H-4300, equipped respectively with a Ryzen 7 4700U processor (eight cores; 2.0-4.1 GHz), Ryzen 5 4500U (six cores; 2, 3-4.0 GHz) and Ryzen 3 4300U (four cores; 2.0-4.1 GHz).

All devices support up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 RAM in two SO-DIMMs. Installs an M.2 2280 solid-state module with PCIe Gen3 x4 or SATA interface, as well as 2.5-inch storage up to 9.5 mm thick.

The arsenal of new products includes a 2 .5G LAN network controller (Realtek 8125), wireless adapters Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.1, and Realtek ALC255 audio codec.

Dimensions are 4 6.8 × 119.5 × 119.5 mm. The front panel features a USB 3.2 Type-C port and three USB 3.2 Type-A (Gen1) connectors, as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack. At the back are HDMI 2.0a and DisplayPort interfaces, a socket for a network cable, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Type-A (Gen1) ports.
