The smartphone did not receive the popular and powerful enough Snapdragon 765G platform
The official premiere of the mid-range Google Pixel 4A smartphone is expected this month. The device could get the popular and fairly powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G platform, but no – the developers chose the SoC weaker. This follows from the Geekbench benchmark database.
Google Pixel 4A is not impressive in its performance
In Geekbench 4, the smartphone “earned” only 2529 points in a single-threaded test and 6366 points in a multi-threaded one. This is about half of what the current flagships are capable of. The name of the platform on which the Pixel 4A is built is not specified by the benchmark, but most likely the Snapdragon 730 is used, which will already be a year old. The amount of RAM, as you can see, was 6 GB, and Android 10 acts as the OS.
According to preliminary data, the Pixel 4A will receive a 5.81-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, a 3080 mAh battery, an embedded 8 MP front camera, the main camera consisting of one module with a 12 MP resolution sensor. In general, the performance is not as impressive as the performance. At the same time, if you rely on rumors, the Pixel 4A will cost decently – the same $ 400 that Apple asks for the iPhone SE 2020 on a much faster platform.
