Google will teach your child to read

Read-Along uses speech recognition and text-to-speech features to help children learn to read. The application contains a built-in reading assistant called Diya. When children read aloud, Diya finds out if the child has phonological problems, and then helps the child with accurate pronunciation. Children can also always ask Diya to help them read the sentence or suggest the pronunciation of a word that they do not know.

As children gradually improve their reading experience through the app, they receive various awards and prize content. Google claims that the application was developed taking into account the confidentiality of personal data, while it can work without an internet connection.

Voice data is analyzed in real-time on the device. This information is not synchronized, stored, or analyzed on Google’s servers. The company also emphasized that it did not use children’s voice samples to make the product better.

In addition, the application does not contain ads.
