Huawei forced to release a new version of Nova 7 SE on the MediaTek processor instead of the proprietary Kirin

Back in April this year, the Chinese company Huawei announced a mid-range smartphone Nova 7 SE 5G with a Kirin 820 processor, a 6.5-inch Full HD + screen, and a quad-camera. Now network sources report that this device will soon appear in a new version.

Nova 7 SE

The upcoming smartphone will be named Nova 7 SE Vitality Edition or Nova 7 SE Life. It is known that the proprietary Kirin 820 chip will give way to the MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor. This product contains eight processing cores – two ARM Cortex-A76 cores @ 2.4 GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores @ 2.0 GHz. The solution includes the ARM Mali-G57 MC3 graphics accelerator and 5G modem with support for non-autonomous (NSA) and autonomous (SA) architectures.

The screen of the new smartphone model will inherit from the progenitor. It is said about the presence of 8 GB of RAM, a flash drive with a capacity of 128 GB, and a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 3900 mAh with support for 40-watt recharge.

At the front, there will be a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The main quad-camera will incorporate a 64-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel unit with wide-angle optics, and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors.

The novelty will come with the Android 10 operating system, supplemented by the proprietary EMUI add-on.
