Leak: STALKER 2 will be an Xbox console exclusive for three months, and the game was scheduled for release at the end of the year
In the documents cited in the case between Apple and Epic Games, Microsoft found, among other things, information about the release dates and console exclusivity of the post-apocalyptic shooter STALKER 2.
Recall that in early April, the voice actor Alexander Vilkov said that GSC Game World hopes to release STALKER 2 by the winter of this year, but the studio urged not to trust this information.
According to Microsoft’s August portfolio, at that time, STALKER 2 was indeed announced at the end of 2021 (in particular, the fourth quarter). However, since that time, plans may have changed.
With what no changes are expected, it is with the terms of exclusivity of STALKER 2. At this stage, the shooter is confirmed for release only on PC, Xbox Series X, and S.
As it became known from Microsoft documents, STALKER 2 will be a console exclusive of the next-generation Xbox family within three months from the initial release date.
In addition to STALKER 2, Tetris Effect: Connected (6-month exclusive) and The Gunk (full-fledged exclusive) are also listed on the Xbox Game Pass deal document page.
STALKER 2 has no official date or premiere date yet. It is already known that the game will definitely not be released on PS4 and Xbox One because “it simply cannot technically work anywhere, except for the most current console hardware. “
