The company made a very strange joke
Yesterday, a chain of fast-food restaurants McDonald’s made an official announcement, which was expected not only by visitors to these restaurants but also by users of mobile devices, as well as industry experts.
McDonald’s 5G World Premiere Fails to Expect
The fact is that a couple of days before that, the Chinese division of McDonald’s published a series of teasers that directly hinted at some kind of device with 5G support. It was assumed that the company could release its first smartphone or conclude a partnership agreement with someone on the mutual promotion of brands.
The logo of the fifth generation networks, the inscription “McDonald’s World 5G Premiere”, as well as the rectangular silhouette of an unknown device were present on the images. But all these teasers turned out to be some kind of stupid joke. In fact, the new McDonald’s products teased by the public were fried chicken according to a new recipe.
Presumably, McDonald’s decided to just make a joke and launched a humorous advertising campaign amid fifth-generation networks becoming more and more popular around the world.
There have been no official comments on this from McDonald’s.
