Microsoft Word will have a completely dark design theme
The dark theme has been one of the popular features in recent years, and it has already appeared in a large number of desktop and mobile applications. Microsoft has added a dark theme to Windows 10 and is planning to do so in several other products. According to online sources, the next in line to receive support for the dark theme is the official application Word.
This was reported by the resource Softpedia with a link to a Twitter user under the nickname Florian B. It was he who first noticed the update of the user interface of Word. According to reports, a completely dark theme in Word is currently available to some Microsoft Office users who participate in an insider testing program for pre-release versions of the product.
It should be noted that Microsoft representatives have not yet commented on the issue related to the appearance of the dark theme in Word. According to the posted screenshot, the dark theme will cover the entire workspace of the application, while the font will turn white. The source notes that at this stage the new feature will only be available in the desktop version of Word, but in the future, Microsoft intends to introduce the same visual style across all platforms for greater consistency.
In general, Microsoft strives to keep all desktop and mobile versions of its products up to date. Earlier this month, the Redmond corporation announced a new version of Office that will support macOS Big Sur and the Apple M1 processor. In addition, the developers are also preparing to present a new version of the Edge browser for the Apple software platform.
