MSI unveils compact GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Ventus 2X OC V1

Micro-Star International has released another version of the Ventus 2X, based on the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics accelerator. The new product is very similar to the regular Ventus 2X, but still has a number of key differences.

According to the manufacturer, for the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Ventus 2X OC V1, the same frequency of the GPU is declared in Boost mode as the original Ventus 2X OC. It is 1695 MHz. The declared power consumption level for both versions is also the same – 200 watts.

The notable differences between the two video cards are in their size. The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Ventus 2X OC V1 version is thinner than the original – 42 mm versus 52 mm – and takes up only two expansion slots in the PC case. In addition, it has only one 8-pin auxiliary power connector, not two as the original model.

MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is based on GPU GA104 with 4864 CUDA cores. The video card is equipped with 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory with a 256-bit bus.

The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is currently the most affordable NVIDIA solution based on the Ampere architecture. However, the manufacturer is also going to release a non-Ti version of the graphics accelerator. It can offer up to 12 GB of video memory, but at the same time, it is built on the basis of a different GPU with fewer CUDA cores. The announcement of the new version is expected next week, as part of the manufacturer’s planned online event.
