Micro-Star International hosted a virtual event featuring a number of new products. Among them was a new series of compact business notebooks Summit based on Intel 11th generation Tiger Lake-U mobile processors.

MSI Summit laptops include Summit B14, Summit B15, Summit E14, and Summit E15. All new items are distinguished by an attractive minimalist design, a keyboard with white backlighting, as well as support for the new wireless standards 802.11 ax Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

As a basis for the new items, we are ready to offer 11th generation Intel Core i7 processors Tiger Lake-U with a maximum operating frequency of up to 4.8 GHz.

E-series models can be equipped with displays up to 4K resolution. Full HD touch panel option available. As a storage subsystem for B- and E-series laptops, it is proposed to install an M.2 NVMe SSD PCIe Gen 4 drive (the manufacturer does not indicate the volume). For all variants, it is also offered to install up to 32 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. In addition, the E-series notebooks are ready to offer a discrete graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti with 4 GB of GDDR6 video memory as an additional option.

MSI Summit B-series notebooks can only be equipped with Full HD displays. In addition, they do not have a choice in favor of discrete graphics. Thus, the new integrated graphics Intel Iris X e is responsible for the display on these laptops.

As additional equipment, laptops offer two speakers with a power of 2 W each, two Thunderbolt 4 ports (USB 4.0 Type-C with DisplayPort alternative mode), one USB 2.0 Type-A, as well as a slot for microSD memory cards and a combined audio jack. The 52 Wh laptop battery is ready to provide over 10 hours of continuous use. The package includes a 90 W power supply.

MSI also introduced the Summit E13 Flip, which features a 360-degree swivel display. At the time of this writing, the manufacturer did not indicate the technical characteristics of this model. But it most likely also uses 11th Gen Intel Core Tiger Lake-U processors without discrete graphics.

All the above new items will be on sale in October this year. The manufacturer does not indicate the price.
