Nintendo has prepared a new Switch revision. Almost all the filling has changed in it.

Information about the new revision of the Nintendo Switch game console has appeared in the FCC database. It also indicates exactly what changes the Japanese company made in its console.

Immediately, we note that we are not talking about the Switch Pro set-top box, which, according to expectations, should appear on the market in 2021 and will receive support for 4K resolution. The information in the FCC database simply informs about the next revision of the currently existing Nintendo Switch. A similar transition to a new revision of the console was, for example, last year.

The documents indicate that Nintendo used a new system-on-a-chip (SoC), memory, and motherboard for the latest revision.

In the documents of the American department, the new Switch revision appears under the marking BKEHAT002. The FCC also released photos of the updated components of the console. However, they are, unfortunately, in low resolution. Nevertheless, in the pictures, you can make out that the console uses a chipset with the NVIDIA 1923A1 marking.

Searching for a processor by this number does not give anything, however, some users of the ResetEra forum suggest that we are talking about a Tegra X1 + chip. Based on this processor, NVIDIA released its Shield TV and Shield TV Pro set-top boxes at the end of last year.

The accompanying documents also indicate that the new Nintendo Switch revision has received support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. The current revision of the set-top box uses regular Bluetooth to connect controllers. It is unlikely that support for the new standard will significantly expand the wireless capabilities of the Switch. Nothing was reported about the external changes of the prefix either. This is confirmed by photographs released by the FCC.

Nintendo formally announced the transition to the current Switch revision only through its Japanese Twitter account. It is very likely that this time around the transition to a new revision, the Japanese manufacturer will not raise too much noise.
