Nioh 2 Authors Confirmed Title and Release Date for Second Story Expansion
Developer Team Ninja and publisher Koei Tecmo on the official PlayStation Blog have shared the first details of the second story addition to the samurai action movie Nioh 2.
The addon was named Darkness in the Capital (“Capital in the dark”). The expansion will go on sale on October 15 this year and will tell you about the events of bygone days.
In search of a clue to the story of the “Sohayamaru” whistle, the hero goes to the city of Kyoto, where he stumbles upon a “battered box”. As a result of interaction with the object, the character finds himself in an ancient incarnation of the capital.
In those days, Kyoto was under the oppression of numerous youkai. They were opposed by famous heroes – for example, the demon slayer and the strongest wizard in history, whom the protagonist will have to join.
Darkness in the Capital promises new stories, skills, ninjutsu, onmyodo spells, soul essences, armor, and weapons. In addition, in the addon, players will meet additional guardian spirits and fight unseen bosses and youkai.
Darkness in the Capital is part of the Nioh 2 Season Pass, which includes two more DLCs. The Tengu’s Disciple expansion was released in late July, and the third DLC has no title or release date yet.
Nioh 2 was released on March 13 this year exclusively on PlayStation 4. By mid-May, sales of the samurai action game Team Ninja exceeded 1 million copies. According to unconfirmed reports, the game will also appear on the PC.
