Nubia CEO Ni Fei confirmed this week that the new Nubia Red Magic 5S gaming smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 865+ SoC, and now he spoke about the fastest memory ever used in a smartphone.
Nubia Red Magic 5S will be even faster than Red Magic 5G
The Red Magic 5S received LPDDR5 RAM just like the Red Magic 5G, with the UFS 3.0 flash being swapped out for the even faster UFS 3.1. The company said it has optimized its Magic Write fast read and write technology to improve the overall performance of the device.
Given the “S” in the model name, it can be assumed that the upcoming phone will likely borrow most of the design elements from the Red Magic 5G, with some minor improvements. This means that the new product should get a screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, up to 16 GB of RAM, and a built-in cooling fan.
The presentation of new items is expected in the near future.
