Last year, through online stores, customers around the world purchased about 20% of the total volume of pipes sold. This year, this figure is expected to reach a record value of 23%.

It is noted that India is the leader in online sales of smart cellular devices: in the first quarter of 2020, 40% of the total number of smartphones sold in this country fell on Internet channels. The UK is in second place with 35%, and China is in third with 30%. Next come the United States and South Korea with 17% and 13%, respectively.

The growth in sales of smartphones via Internet channels is due to the pandemic: consumers have become much less likely to visit traditional stores, and many communication stores were forced to suspend work or even completely closed.

The increase in sales of cellular devices through the Network is recorded all over the world, including in Europe and the CIS. At the same time, the total sales of smartphones are declining: in the last quarter, according to Gartner estimates, 294.7 million smartphones were shipped globally, which is 20.4% less than a year ago.
