The announcement is expected in early July

According to rumors, in early July, AMD will introduce the long-awaited Ryzen 4000G desktop hybrid processors. We are expecting several models in a configuration that are most similar to the mobile Ryzen 4000U / H, but with higher frequencies, as well as several energy-efficient versions of the Ryzen 4000GE.

One of these APUs – Ryzen 7 4700GE – appeared in tests on the Web, and there are photos of the processor itself. In this case, it may be a non-serial sample, so the frequencies may still change.

So, the Ryzen 7 4700GE is an APU with eight processor cores, SMT support, 3.0-4.0 GHz frequencies (3.1-4.35 GHz are expected in the serial), and a Vega 8 GPU with a frequency of 2 GHz. The TDP of such a solution is only 35 watts.

On a test bench, APU worked on an Asus ROG Strix B550-E Gaming motherboard with memory operating at a frequency of 4333 MHz. The owners of this APU also managed to overclock it to a frequency of 4.35 GHz, while the memory delay was 47.6 ns with CL14 memory timings of 14-13-13-28. In the presence of water cooling, among other things, it was possible to achieve a delay of 45 ns, which is an excellent indicator for AMD Renoir.
