On the eve of the start of sales of Ryzen 7 7800X3D, AMD declassified a new slide with its performance

On April 6, official sales of the 8-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D will start, which should become the successor to the hit Ryzen 7 5800X3D, but today another slide has appeared showing the performance of the new product. This time, the picture compares the performance of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the flagship of the series, the 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X3D.

And here’s what AMD has to say, backing it up with 21 game performance data: “The Ryzen 7 7800X3D with AMD 3D V-Cache technology is just slightly behind the Ryzen 9 7950X3D in games.” As you can see, the tests were run at Full HD resolution and with maximum graphics settings, the performance difference relative to the Ryzen 9 7950X3D is from 92% to 113%.

Based on the big difference in price (the official cost of the Ryzen 9 7950X3D in the US is $700, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is $450) and the minimal difference in performance, it is not difficult to guess which users will prefer. However, while users are voting in rubles Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and their preferences are unlikely to change in the near future.

But with the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, things are bad – the processor dies spontaneously , and it is not yet clear what is the reason.
