Peripherals and headphones shut down spontaneously on all M1-based Apple devices
Unlike the PlayStation 5, which has proven to be very problematic , the M1- based MacBook Air and MacBook Pro seem to be pretty stable devices for new products. At the same time, now they have an annoying problem: users massively complain about spontaneous disconnection of headphones and other peripherals connected via Bluetooth.
The first problems of the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro on the M1 platform. Users complain about Bluetooth
Sources refer to users of the largest American forum Reddit – it is already full of negative reviews about how a wide variety of devices – mice, keyboards, headphones – are periodically disconnected from the new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac Mini. Some peripherals don’t work at all. This applies to both third-party solutions and Apple’s own devices – the same AirPods. Moreover, it was the built-in Bluetooth adapter that affected the problems, since, for example, when Logitech devices are connected through the Unifying receiver, nothing “falls off”.
It is not yet clear what exactly the problem is – in the M1 itself or in the Big Sur OS. But, most likely, the solution will be presented as a small software update. Apple has already been informed of the problems, but has not yet responded to them.
