The first screenshots of the VR quest Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time
So far, one has to be content with only such a “Prince”. Ubisoft has presented screenshots of the new Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time. Recall that this is a cooperative VR-quest in a universe familiar to gamers. It is unknown if Ubisoft is developing the Prince of Persia game in a familiar genre.
According to Ubisoft, Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time is a cooperative adventure where several players (two to four) work together to stop the evil Magee. The puzzles of the project focus on time management: it can be slowed down, stopped, and rewound. The events of Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time unfolds during the entire trilogy – Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.
The latest releases in the series were the full-fledged action platformer Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (2010) and the mobile remake of Prince of Persia: The Shadow of the Flame (2013). Overall, the franchise that started Assassin’s Creed has quietly disappeared into the sands of time.
