In general, India is planning a lot of new missions in the near future.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) posted on Twitter a video of the Pragyan rover landing on the moon. A short video shows how the Pragyan slides down the ramp of the Vikram lander to the surface of the moon.
The Indian spacecraft will study the lunar surface using an alpha particle X-ray spectrometer and a laser spectroscope, which will determine the chemical composition and mineralogical composition of the lunar surface. His mission will last 14 Earth days, or one lunar day.
But India is not going to stop on this lunar mission. Already in early September, ISRO plans to launch the Aditya-L1 station to study the Sun.
The Indians showed the lunar rover’s descent to the lunar surface and promised to launch a station
“ ISRO is planning many missions in the near future. Directly to be Aditya-L1. This is a mission to study the Sun, the processes in its corona. The rocket will probably be assembled today or tomorrow. We plan to launch in the first week of September if everything goes according to plan ,” said ISRO head Sridhara Somanath at a press conference after the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 mission descent module on the moon.
ISRO plans to launch Aditya-L1 into a halo orbit around the Lagrange point L1 of the Sun-Earth system at a distance of about 1.5 million km from Earth. The purpose of the Aditya-L1 mission is to study the solar corona, chromosphere and solar radiation in various spectra.
