The first tests appeared
AMD Ryzen 3000 desktop processors with Zen 2 architecture have long conquered the market. Now the same has to be made mobile Ryzen 4000 with the same architecture. And later this year, Ryzen 4000 hybrid desktop processors are due out.
The long-awaited desktop APU Ryzen 4000 on the way. Exit expected in July
To clarify: the desktop APUs of the Ryzen 4000 are the same desktop Ryzen 3000s, only with an integrated GPU. Despite the index, this is one Ryzen family.
According to recent data, such APUs should be released in July. The Ryzen 7 4700G model already shone in one of the tests, but now we have the opportunity to evaluate several other leaks.
The first concerns a certain eight-core test sample with catalog number 100-000000149-40_40 / 30_Y. From this, we can find out that the CPU frequencies are 3.0-4.0 GHz. At the same time, they will obviously be higher for the serial processor.
There is also evidence of two eight-core APUs with frequencies above 3 GHz and above 3.5 GHz and a graphics core operating at a frequency of 1750 MHz. There are no technical details of the GPU, but most likely the Ryzen 4000 desktop APUs will be the same Ryzen 4000 mobiles, but with a higher power limit. That is, in the maximum configuration, the same Vega 8 is waiting for us, only with greater performance due to the increased power limit. By the way, in the mobile Ryzen 9 4900H, the frequency of the Vega 8 is exactly the same.
Unfortunately, while there is no data on the younger desktop APUs Ryzen 4000, and in fact, they will be of interest to many users. Considering how successful the quad-core Ryzen 3 3100 and Ryzen 3 3300X were for their money, many obviously would like similar processors, but with an integrated GPU. And such models are likely to appear in the AMD lineup.
