However, this time the frustration of the fans will not be so strong. As the studio reported in the official microblog of the series, the release was postponed by only a week – from October 9 to October 16 of this year.

Together with the release date of the basic edition, DiRT 5 “moved” for the same seven days and the start of early access for buyers of the more expensive Amplified Edition – the owners of this kit will be able to start playing on October 13 (instead of the 6th).

The listed changes apply only to versions of DiRT 5 for PC (Steam), PS4, and Xbox One. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, the project is still scheduled to release before the end of the year. The transition from the current generation console to the next generation will be free for game owners.

What is the reason for such a modest transfer by modern standards, the developers did not specify? Instead, the studio thanked the community for the support and hype around the game and promised a lot of other news about the project ahead of release.

Since the end of July, Codemasters began to actively demonstrate the gameplay of DiRT 5: first, the first full-fledged gameplay trailer was published, and a week later – the presentation of the Ice Breaker mode.

The DiRT 5 story campaign features actors Troy Baker and Nolan North. The mode itself promises more than 130 races, a non-linear progression system, and an exciting adventure.
