Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G will be built on Snapdragon 750G and will receive a new 108-megapixel main camera sensor

Manu Kumar Jain, executive director of the Indian division of Xiaomi, has shared information about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G smartphone. The novelty should be an addition to the Mi 10 series, which, in addition to the original model, includes versions of Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, and Mi 10T-Lite.

As it turned out, the device was designed specifically for the Indian market and received the latest 108-megapixel sensor of the main quad camera, as reported by a small published teaser. The latter also confirms early leaks that the smartphone will be unveiled on January 5th.

Xiaomi was the first company on the market to use a 108-megapixel camera sensor based on the ISOCELL HMX matrix. However, according to Kumar Jain, the Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G uses a new optical sensor. According to the GSMArena resource, we can talk about the HM2 sensor, presented by the South Korean company Samsung in September this year.

In the published promotional materials about the new product, it is also reported that the Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G will receive a relatively fresh Snapdragon 750G chipset, also presented in September and first used in the Xiaomi Mi 10i Lite model. It is assumed that the Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G is based not on the Mi 10i Lite model, but on the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. This means that the new product will receive a 6.67-inch IPS-display Full HD + (2400 × 1080 pixels) with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and support for HDR10, as well as a 4820 mAh battery with 33-watt fast charging.

The device is already listed in the Indian Amazon, but the appearance of the novelty is also expected in the official Mi.com online store.
