GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is faster than GeForce RTX 2080 Super in Ashes of the Singularity gaming test
The first gaming test of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics accelerator was published on the Web. The performance of the new product from NVIDIA was tested in the gaming benchmark Ashes of the Singularity with graphics settings “Crazy” in 1080p resolution.
As a result of the test, the junior representative of the Ampere architecture turned out to be slower than the solutions of the Radeon RX 6800 series, as well as the GeForce RTX 3070, which were tested at the same graphics and resolution settings, which is not surprising at all.
In this gaming test, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti model scored 7,900 points in graphics performance, showing an average result of 84 frames per second. For comparison, the GeForce RTX 2070 Super with the same settings gains up to 7000 points (73 FPS) in overclocking, while the GeForce RTX 2080 Super can provide up to 8400 points (86 FPS), again, in overclocking. If we compare with the solutions of the current generation, then the GeForce RTX 3070 in the same gaming test gains 9000 points (93 FPS), and solutions from AMD in the form of models of video cards Radeon RX 6800 and Radeon RX 6800 XT show results in 9500 and 10100 points with average values of 96 and 102 FPS, respectively.
Meanwhile, Internet detective Tum_Apisak has found performance results for the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in the Geekbench synthetic benchmark database.
The information contained in the database also confirms the basic technical characteristics of the graphics accelerator based on the stripped-down version of GPU GA104.
In particular, it is indicated that the new product has 38 streaming multiprocessors, which in total gives it 4864 CUDA cores, operating at a frequency of 1.67 GHz. In addition, the model is equipped with 8 GB of video memory with an effective frequency of 14 GHz.
Recall that the official announcement of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will take place on December 2. For the video card, a power consumption level of 200 W is declared and a price tag of $ 399 is predicted.
