Google Chrome has become even more convenient for those who like to open a hundred or two tabs at the same time

Since 2020, Google has been systematically working to improve the usability of a large number of tabs. In September, the grouping function became available to all users, although it was delayed by several months due to the difficulties associated with the coronavirus pandemic.

Another innovation that makes working with groups of tabs more convenient is the ability to “remember” groups when they are closed. Until now, grouping tabs have not been very useful if the user accidentally closed the grouped tabs by clicking on the “ear” of the entire group. When trying to reopen tabs from browsing history, the entire organization was lost.

In a fresh test build of Chrome Canary, tab groups are remembered and displayed in browsing history. The tabs are restored together, at once by the whole group, as if they had never been closed. Individual tabs that are not part of a group can still be opened from history independently of the rest of the pages. Chrome stable users should expect this functionality in a few weeks.
