Google will supplement the voice assistant with the function of storing user data

With a link to 9to5Google, Engadget talked about Google testing a new feature for its voice assistant. With its help, users will be able to save various information directly to Google Assistant. This became known from the closed beta version of the Android app.

According to the published information, it will be possible to save articles, books, contacts, events, tickets, places, playlists, grocery lists, recipes, reminders, videos, and websites to the Google Assistant memory using a voice command. The list of supported content is much longer; we have listed only a small part.

The saved items will be in a separate feed inside the Google Assistant app, along with the Old Memories and Today cards. It will also be possible to voice track the status of the flight, departure, and much more. This centralization is somewhat reminiscent of the concept with Google TV, where search and selection of content occur simultaneously from all online sites.

However, this evolution of the Google Assistant can help users keep all the information they need in one place and be more organized.
