Immortals Fenyx Rising – Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Zelda
Ubisoft invited 3DNews to try out the action-adventure Immortals Fenyx Rising, formerly known as Gods & Monsters, and also revealed the details of the game and announced a release date – it was much closer than you might think.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is an open-world game from Ubisoft Quebec ( Assassin’s Creed Odyssey ), in which you, as the demigod Phoenix, have to save the Greek gods from a terrible curse, fight mythical creatures, and the most dangerous titan – Typhon. You will be guided by the voices of Zeus and Prometheus, who are amusingly quarreling with each other, commenting on what is happening and communicating with the protagonist.
The main heroine of the game, named Phoenix, has Daedalus’ wings (allow you to hover, but not fully fly), the sword of Achilles, Odysseus’s bow, and many powerful abilities. In addition to her sword (light strike), she has an ax (heavy strike). Phoenix can climb almost any surface, change and improve equipment, make elixirs, put marks on the map, and summon a fast horse to quickly move around the world. The similarities between Immortals Fenyx Rising and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are striking from the first moment. The essential difference is that the heroine can develop skills and abilities.
All regions are immediately available for exploration – they contain story tasks, Tartarus trials, and various puzzles, coupled with the murder of a mass of mythical monsters. In the presented demo, only one area was available, on which there were several story missions.
In one of them, four furnaces had to be fired with arrows and fire. Phoenix can control the flight of an arrow shot from Odysseus’ bow, send it through the blazing fire and deliver it to the desired target. Some of the puzzles we saw were built on the same principle. However, Immortals Fenyx Rising will offer something unusual and unexpected in tests, like a pinball on a giant ancient Greek “machine”.
Immortals Fenyx Rising will go on sale December 3 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
