Kingdom Come: Deliverance made the list of releases for Switch, but only by mistake
PR-manager of Warhorse Studios Tobias Stolz-Zwilling commented in his microblog on persistent rumours about the release of the medieval role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance on Nintendo Switch.
The fact is that in early January, the mention of the “royal” edition of Kingdom Come: Deliverance was noticed in the release schedule for Switch on the Japanese Nintendo website – the premiere was supposedly scheduled for February 18.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance at launch was difficult for the much more powerful PS4 and Xbox One, so fans suggested that in this case, we are not talking about a full-fledged, but about a cloud version of the game.
The list has already been corrected by now. Warhorse Studios explained the misunderstanding because DMM Games (distributor of Kingdom Come: Deliverance in Japan) has plans to release a “royal” edition in the region, but only on PS4.
“I would love to see Kingdom Come: Deliverance on Switch, but unfortunately there is no such version in the plans right now. We are studying who turned out to be so ambitious that they decided otherwise, but for now … blah blah blah … sorry, guys, ” Stolz-Zwilling apologized.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released in February 2018 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Since the release, the game has sold over 3 million copies around the world.
Earlier it became known that Warhorse Studios has teamed up with Wild Sheep Content to produce a feature film or TV series based on Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
