MSI announced prices for motherboards with Intel B560 and H510 chipsets – from $ 89 to $ 189

As part of the latest MSI Insider Show podcast, the Taiwanese computer component manufacturer announced motherboards’ prices based on the lower-end Intel B560 and H510 chipsets. As a reminder, these boards are designed for use with 11th Gen Core (Rocket Lake-S) processors.

MSI’s MSI motherboards with Intel B560 and H510 chipsets do not differ much from their predecessors using Intel B460 and H410 chipsets. Rocket Lake-S chips will be able to work with old Intel 400 series boards (only  Intel Z490 and H470), but in this case, the owners will lose one of the main features of the new processors – full support for the PCIe 4.0 interface.

The most expensive model of MSI motherboard based on Intel B560 chipset will be MAG B560 Tomahawk WiFi. Its manufacturer estimated at $ 189, which is similar to the current model MAG B460 Tomahawk’s price. The MAG B560M Mortar WiFi, B560M Pro-VDH WiFi, and MAG B560M models will cost $ 10 less than the current versions on the B460 chipset.

The MPG B560I Gaming Edge WiFi variant, which may appeal to fans of compact systems, is estimated by the manufacturer at $ 159. The MAG B560 Tomahawk WiFi uses the same 12 + 1 + 1 power subsystem as the MAG Z490 Tomahawk. It differs from the older version based on the Z590 chipset only by two fewer processor power phases. At the same time, the board is ready to offer support for DDR4 5066 MHz memory, three M.2 slots for NVMe drives, and a 2.5 Gigabit network adapter and support for the Wi-Fi 6E wireless standard.

Priced at $ 89, the MSI H510M-A Pro motherboard will offer a basic set of essential features for those on a budget. It also claims support for PCIe 4.0 through a single PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. Besides, the novelty received an M.2 slot, but it operates in PCIe 3.0 x4 mode. To access PCIe 4.0 x4, you will have to opt for the B560M-A Pro model, which is $ 10 more expensive than the previously mentioned option.
