Panasonic Lumix DC-S5 supports 4K / 60p video recording

Panasonic has announced the Lumix DC-S5 interchangeable-lens full-frame mirrorless camera for demanding photographers and videographers. Sales of new items will begin in the middle of this month.

The device is based on a CMOS sensor (35.6 × 23.8 mm) with 24 million effective pixels. The powerful Venus Engine processor is busy processing the incoming data. Light sensitivity – ISO 100-51200, expandable to ISO 50-204800. Implemented the Dual IS 2 five-axis stabilization system.

The camera is capable of forming images with a resolution of up to 6000 × 4000 pixels. Sequential shooting at 7 frames per second is possible. Video footage can be recorded at 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels) in 60p, 50p, 30p, 25p, and 23.98p modes.

The device has a 3-inch variable-position touchscreen display, a viewfinder with 100% frame coverage, two slots for SD / SDHC / SDXC memory cards, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless adapters, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. 133 x 97 x 82 mm, weight – 714 g.

The camera is housed in a magnesium alloy body that is waterproof and dustproof. The new product will be available for $ 1999 without optics or $ 2299 with a 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 Lens.
