It can work autonomously up to 50 hours
The Russian combat robot “Marker” will be able to move without problems in conditions of fog and smoke, as Evgeny Dudorov, Executive Director of the NPO Androidnaya Tekhnika, announced on the sidelines of the Army-2023 forum.
“The technology for the movement of the robotic complex in conditions of smoke and fog was developed. When driving through smoke, the construction of a point cloud from the laser lidar stops, the optical channel is ineffective, but the Marker continues to recognize the surrounding space through the use of technology for combining the technical vision of other available passive sensors, ”Dudorov said.

He confirmed that during the development they had already conducted experiments that showed excellent results of autonomy: “The hourly consumption of the robotic complex is 3.5 liters, which is sufficient for 50 hours of battery life or 1,000 kilometers of cross-country run.”
The autonomous robot can be used to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield, automatically deliver and unload cargo. “The complex has the ability to independently pick up cargo containers from the storage site, loading is carried out automatically using a hydraulic manipulator. At the point of unloading “Marker” automatically removes the cargo container and moves after the next one if necessary. In the same way, it is possible to carry out the evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield using an armored medical capsule equipped with life support equipment.
The robot, equipped with the Kornet anti-tank complex, will go into mass production after testing is completed.
