Users have reported that the volume randomly decreases while watching videos, which annoys many. In other cases, however, some Pixel 5 devices randomly raise audio levels to the maximum level, even if the user initially set the audio level to the lowest level.
The sound problem manifests itself on calls, camera shutter release, when taking screenshots and in all other scenarios. In this case, the volume slider does not work. So far Google has yet to release a fix at this point, but a spokesperson acknowledged the problem, although he was vague about the reason.
