One of them is built on the Z490 chipset, three – on the B460 chipset
As you know, MSI immediately introduced 12 motherboards based on Intel 400 series chipsets. Models MEG Z490 Godlike and MEG Z490 Ace led the line, being addressed to the most demanding enthusiasts. The MPG Z490 Gaming Carbon WiFi, MPG Z490 Gaming Edge WiFi, MPG Z490M Gaming Edge WiFi, and MPG Z490 Gaming Plus are mid-range. MAG Z490 Tomahawk, MAG B460 Tomahawk, MAG B460 Mortar, and MAG B460 Bazooka are addressed to budget-conscious buyers building a gaming PC. A description of the last three on the manufacturer’s website is not yet available, and the drafters of the press release limited themselves to mentioning the Duet Rail power system, built according to a 14-phase scheme. The MAG Z490 Tomahawk has the same power subsystem.

This ATX board has four DIMM slots for up to 128 GB of memory. Memory up to DDR4-4800 (OC) in dual channel configuration is supported. The board has two PCIe Gen3 x16 slots and three PCIe Gen3 x1 slots. There are six SATA 6 Gb / s ports and two M.2 slots for connecting drives. M.2 slots are equipped with M.2 Shield Frozr radiators.
In equipping the board, it is necessary to highlight the ports 1 GbE, 2.5 GbE, USB 3.2 Gen 2×2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, and six ports USB 3.2 Gen 1. The ability to connect monitors is provided by the presence of DisplayPort and HDMI outputs.
