It should be noted that the named electric car was officially presented about a year ago. However, the mass production of the car began only now – after the end of the preparatory period, during which the plant in the Belgian Ghent assembled a limited number of prototypes.

The XC40 Recharge P8 crossover is equipped with an electric all-wheel-drive system. The power of the power plant reaches 408 horsepower, and it takes 4.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h.

The battery has a protective cage built into the center of the body. This block is located on the floor, which lowers the vehicle’s center of gravity, improving its roll-over stability. The declared power reserve on one charge reaches 418 km, and the energy reserve can be replenished from 0% to 80% in about 40 minutes.

The new Android-based infotainment system offers a high level of personalization as well as built-in Google services and tools such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store. The vehicle is capable of receiving major software and operating system updates wirelessly.

“ Demand for the XC40 Recharge P8 is very high – all the cars due to be built this year have already been sold, while the model remains open to order. The first cars are planned to be delivered to customers in Europe at the end of October, ”says Volvo Cars.
