We recently learned that LG refused to release the G9 ThinQ smartphone and, in general, the G line. Allegedly, the Chocolate line, which the company used before the era of modern smartphones, will be revived instead.
Finally, at least someone decided to make designer smartphones. LG introduced the Velvet line with an emphasis on the original appearance
It is not yet clear whether this line will really be revived, but today LG introduced another – Velvet. As stated in the press release, through the devices of this line, LG is going to give battle to the established order of things, when dozens of different smartphones from different manufacturers are similar to each other, like brothers.
The Korean manufacturer will pay special attention to the original design and tactile sensations within the Velvet line. That is, smartphones that stand out with their design from materials that are pleasant to the touch are waiting for us.
The first model of the line will be called simply – LG Velvet. He is known that he will receive a “unique” Raindrop camera. Perhaps it was his sketches that we saw the other day.
LG also notes that the new line will move away from the use of alphanumeric characters in favor of expressive names that “will help the consumer understand the essence of the device.” In this case, the name Velvet (“velvet”), according to LG, should evoke images of brilliant smoothness and premium softness – two key characteristics of the new phone. Unfortunately, LG did not announce when Velvet will enter the market.
