MSI has unveiled MEG Z590 Unify and Unify-X boards for overclocking Rocket Lake-S. They are completely devoid of RGB lighting

MSI has announced several interesting things simultaneously as part of today’s MSI Insider Show stream. First, the manufacturer announced the prices for Intel B560 and H510 motherboards. Secondly, he shared details about the upcoming MEG Z590 Unify and Unify-X motherboards based on the older Intel Z590 chipset for Rocket Lake-S processors.

MSI’s Unify series of motherboards have two distinctive features. They are completely black and do not have RGB backlighting, and are also designed for extreme overclocking of various computer components.

Models MEG Z590 Unify and Unify-X combine the standard ATX form factor and generally the same technical characteristics. The only difference between the boards is that the Unify-X model is equipped with only two DDR4 memory slots, which will help manual overclocking.

Both boards are equipped with 16-phase VRM power subsystems, two 8-pin CPU power connectors, and DDR4 5000 MHz RAM support. Despite their overclocking bias, the novelties are not devoid of standard features. Each model has six SATA III connectors, three PCIe 4.0 x4 and one PCIe 3.0 x4. Rocket Lake-S processors will be able to support 20 high-speed PCIe 4.0 lanes. Thus, MEG Z590 Unify and Unify-X will offer the following configurations for using the first PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. If you limit its operation to x8 mode, it will be possible to use all three M.2 slots in the PCIe 4.0 x4 mode. Otherwise, only one of the three M.2 slots can provide support for PCIe 4.0 x4.

New items will also offer the presence of a 2.5-gigabit network adapter, several USB 3.2 ports, as well as support for Wi-Fi 6E and MSI Audio Boost 5 audio technology. The manufacturer, unfortunately, did not say anything about the availability of boards for sale.
