Sony shares details on next-gen PlayStation VR for PS5
Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially announced the development of the next-generation virtual reality headset for the PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, there are few details about the device.
According to Hideaki Nishino, Senior Vice President of PlayStation Planning and Platform Management, the next-generation VR headset will be focused on the PlayStation 5. It will make a huge leap forward in terms of performance, interactivity, and graphics.
The new system will be better than the current PlayStation VR in every way, including resolution, field of view, motion tracking, and controls. Besides, the new headset should solve one of the device’s main problems: the connection to the PlayStation 5 will occur with just one cable.
Finally, along with the virtual reality headset, a new controller will also be available, which will receive some DualSense functions and will be able to boast of “increased ergonomics.”
Since the device is still under development, it will not be released in 2021 but sometime later.
